A new Adventure!
We have moved to Boise Idaho! I can't believe it has been five plus years since I created this blog. I have many new paintings and quilts to add , but I have to figure out how to do it all over again! I am still excited about painting and designing quilts, and of course, keeping up with the activities of my children and grandchildren. Boise is a wonderful place to live with beautiful seasons and lots of walking trails that we enjoy. Hopefully in the next little while I can connect with some of the art community here. It has been a very busy year moving in and getting settled.

The weather has been so beautiful for the past month! It is time to pick the grapes again and make more juice. We have finally gotten out our cider press and have been making the most delicious, sweet apple juice. I am trying to get ready for the Beavercreek Open Studios which are coming up at the end of next week...in between harvesting and processing the apples, drying plums, making chili sauce, and finding a home for all the extra produce my farmer husband has in his bountiful garden.

"More Poppies" |
The families took off for Bandon and I found myself with a chance to paint in my cool air conditioned studio.....Trying to capture the joy of those wonderful poppies and all the inspiration from last year's trip to Provence !

Poppies in Provence
There is so much inspiration waiting for me to have time to paint....and I really want to try to do more landscapes. This is one of the many pictures I took in France last year ......poppies beneath olive trees....does it get any more wonderful than that!

Here we go!!
This is very exciting! I am brand new to this blogging.
I just want to be able to share some of my paintings and quilts with anyone who would like to look. I have a lot of fun painting my family and have had the opportunity to do some commissioned portraits for friends as well. Quilts are another passion and I have posted just a few on this site ......hope you enjoy!
My husband and I are sort of "gentleman" farmers......this is a red onion from our garden.
